Slight Turbulence

Bring it on, bring it on, bring it on. From here to the eyes and the ears of the 'verse, that's my motto. Or at least it would be, if I start having a motto.

Musicals and Friends

It’s been a long day and night. We’re finally home and everyone is happy and ready for warm, comfortable beds. Especially KidC.

KidC, on left, as Benny Southstreet in Guys and Dolls

Tonight was the second of four performances of his intermediate school’s production of Guys and Dolls. Last night he was just tired. Opening night jitters made him a little irritable and not ready to get “notes” from the family about his performance. Tonight was different.

He was more confident. He was more excited. He was laughing, playing, talking more. It also took him almost 40 minutes to change out of his costume! It took most of the cast that long because they were just enjoying the aftermath of a performance well done. Well, at least better than the first night.

Not kidding. The songs were better, the speaking was better, the dancing and cues were better. They were enjoying themselves tonight – KidC, and his friends.
